I’ve done a fair bit of traveling, and experiences I’ve gained abroad and at home might be summarized by the following: “The more you know, the more you know you don’t know”. In that respect my life has encompassed learning in the broadest sense of the word. Despite a love for travel, I’ve found myself returning to a computer (read: CFD) since starting undergrad. I am now pursuing higher education to keep the CFD flowing [relevant xkcd:].

Research Interests

I work with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software to model turbulent fluid flow and heat transfer. Recent work has involved implementing the adjoint method to optimize some aspect of these flows with respect to an objective function.
