Mike graduated from Penn State in 2017 with a B.S. in Mechanical engineering. Joining the TESLa team in the summer of 2017.
Mike's research focueses on modeling fundamental interactions of turbulent reacting flows with a focus on bluff body stabilization and buoyant jet instabilities. He uses modal decompositions, such as POD and DMD, to identify large scale features and quantify dynamic behavior. This research directly impacts air force related applications, such as jet augmentors in scramjets.
